These Terms govern the use of the krooky.app website and the KROOKY mobile app. By using the site or installing the app you accept these rules. We will publish the details of the legal entity providing the service here before the app is released; for now the site is run by the KROOKY team and can be reached at hello@krooky.app.
The app is being prepared for release. What works today is the waiting list: you leave an email address and receive one message on launch day. Leaving an address creates no account and commits you to nothing — consent to that email can be withdrawn at any time.
The account is created by an adult. The app is meant for an adult and a child playing together, not for a child using it alone. By creating a child profile you confirm that you are that child’s parent or legal guardian.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes on your family’s devices.
Photos, toy names and descriptions you upload remain yours. You allow us to process them exactly as far as running the service requires: recognise a toy, build an adventure, show a story. Rights to the KROOKY logo, characters, design, texts and code belong to us.
Adventures and quests are invented by artificial intelligence. It can be wrong, and a suggested quest may not suit a particular child. Whether to play it is always the adult’s call.
Quests are done at home with ordinary objects. The adult is responsible for making the game safe for that particular child and that particular room, and for the time the child spends with the app.
You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to servers or other people’s data, distribute malicious code, use KROOKY for unlawful, abusive or discriminatory content, or pass account access to third parties.
Some features will be paid. A subscription is purchased, renewed and cancelled through the App Store or Google Play under their rules — payments and refunds are handled there as well. We do not store your card details. The paid features, the price and trial terms will be published before release; there is nothing to pay for yet.
KROOKY is provided "as is". We work to keep the app stable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation on every device or the preservation of data against events outside our control.
The governing law and the dispute procedure will be stated together with the legal entity details before the app is released. The pre-court route stays the same in any case: we write to each other at hello@krooky.app and try to agree.
We may update these Terms. The current version is always on this page. By continuing to use KROOKY after changes are published you accept them.
